Vietnam Produces Pineapple Fabric (90% Cotton / 10% Pineapple)โNextevoโข operates a production facility in Dong Nai province (launched in June 2024) that processes pineapple leaf fiber (PALF)โan agricultural byproduct/waste from pineapple farmingโinto ready-to-spin (RTS) fiber. This fiber is mechanically extracted and prepared using their proprietary process, making it suitable for spinning into yarns and fabrics for eco-friendly clothing and textiles (often compared to cotton-like properties). Pineapple yarn can be mixed with cotton and polyester. Fabric suppliers like WellFabric and STS buy the pineapple leaf fiber, spin it and knit it into fabric for sale in Vietnam.
